Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, McCallie offers boys in grades 6-12 an exceptional education. Academic and extracurricular programs are tailored specifically to boys. Boys learn responsibility, leadership, and citizenship. Through interactions and relationships with faculty and peers, boys develop strong social-emotional skills. Every year boys are accepted into outstanding colleges and universities across the country and become leaders wherever they are.

- Community Service — there are many opportunities throughout the semester to volunteer; for example, serving at the local Community Kitchen on Wednesday mornings.
- Travel Opportunities — these range from outdoor excursions to service learning and mission trips to traditional study abroad immersion opportunities. Recent international trips include El Salvador, Galapagos, Italy, Cuba, and Scotland & Ireland.
- Learning Center and Extra Support — we have students using the resources in the Learning Center to support them in courses from beginning Math 1 and Ancient History to AP Physics and AP Calculus.
Middle School
McCallie's middle school program is designed specifically to engage and motivate the young boy. The middle school faculty are engaged and committed. They have a passion for teaching at the middle school level and a dedication to McCallie's mission that is reflected in the energy they bring to the classroom every day of the school year.
Upper School
McCallie offers an exciting, challenging learning environment as well as a warm, caring community. High school students at McCallie become actively involved outside the classroom. They go out for athletic, forensics, and academic teams. They write for the school publications, get involved in music and drama, participate in community service, and immerse themselves in other extracurricular activities.
Boarding Experience
The boarding experience at McCallie is built from the ground up with the needs of boys in mind. Our boarding students gain independence, responsibility, and maturity in an environment thoughtfully designed to provide them with both structure and autonomy. Teachers actively mentor them and help them develop vital life skills in a fun, tight-knit community of brotherhood.
We offer 17 varsity sports and 14 Middle School teams, and have won 20 state team championships over the past five years!
We also offer more than 20 art classes and mediums, and there are many opportunities to pursue artistic interests outside the classroom in instrumental musical or choral groups, and theater.
